"Our daughter, Iris, was born 24th October 2022. At birth she sustained moderate hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). She was deprived of oxygen during birth and this caused brain damage. Thanks to the incredible team at Royal Berkshire Hospital and John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Iris began the process of therapeutic cooling to prevent any further damage. Once in Oxford she was cooled for 72 hours. The amazing team at the John Radcliffe Hospital, not only cared for our daughter, but for us as parents and as a family.

The support they gave us was something we will never forget. We are so unbelievably lucky to have received this treatment and ongoing care for Iris.

Words can not express the gratitude we all feel and we want to give back to them in anyway we can therefore Iris’ Mum, Brother, Auntie, Uncle, Grandma and Grandpa are raising money for SSNAPP by walking the Blenheim 7K".
