WHAT WE DO
SSNAP, located in the John Radcliffe Hospital , is the charity dedicated to supporting the families of sick and premature babies. We provide emotional and practical support to families, we fund innovative and life changing equipment and our research fellowships will ensure lasting change to how babies are cared for and treated in neonatal units here in the UK and around the world.
Providing Hope and Comfort
At the centre of everything we do is supporting families whilst their baby is in the Neonatal Care Unit.
We provide support to parents through our Family Support Team and volunteers as well as practical help with transport, accommodation and improving the non-clinical areas of the Neonatal Care Unit.
Improving care at The John Radcliffe
We invite staff on the Neonatal Care Unit to submit applications for SSNAP to fund medical equipment for use on the unit.
This ranges from new, innovative equipment to essentials like breast pumps and reclining chairs for improved kangaroo care.
Improving Outcomes In Neonatal Care
We are committed to investing in the future of care for babies in neonatal care. We are fortunate enough to work with leading researchers from the university of Oxford on groundbreaking research in neonatal medicine.

We are so grateful for your support, whatever form it takes, and look forward to getting to know you better.
'It is invaluable just knowing that there is a friendly face in the office, and that you are not the first parents to go through this incredibly tough journey'
'SSNAP were so kind, compassionate and supportive through a really traumatic time when our baby was born at 27 weeks but just weighing 1 lb 4. The work they do to provide equipment for parents, the babies and the doctors and nurses is incredible'
