It’s been a busy and meaningful week for SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents) as we acknowledged World Prematurity Day.
On Monday, we spent the day on the Neonatal Unit supporting families, gifting them and their babies with thoughtful purple-themed presents, and treating our incredible staff to purple goodies and drinks in honour of the day.
On Tuesday, we continued with our Little SSNAPlings Jojo Baby Massage group, sharing support, connection, and special moments with families we continue to walk alongside and celebrate their individual milestones.
In our Little SSNAPlings Baby Yoga session on Wednesday, we acknowledged the strength, resilience, and the amazing journeys of the families we’re proud to support.
This week we've also held in our hearts the families whose babies faced immense struggles during their premature start in life, honouring their strength, their love, and the memories that will always remain with us.
As we echo this year’s World Prematurity Day tagline — “Give Preterm Babies a Strong Start for a Brighter Future” — we remain dedicated to supporting families, babies, and staff, always striving for better outcomes for every premature and sick baby at the JR.
