Today marks one year since Martin passed away, and he is still so dearly missed.

In his memory, his close friend and former army colleague Giles is taking on the Gloucestershire Half Marathon, carrying Martin's washing machine, in tribute to Martin’s unforgettable fundraising spirit.

In this picture, you can see Giles before a training run - washing machine ready to be hoisted on his back - fully embracing the challenge in true Martin style.

Giles’ challenge is bold, heartfelt and wonderfully fitting. It reflects the energy, humour and determination that Martin brought to everything he did. We are incredibly thankful to Giles for supporting SSNAP in Martin’s memory and for helping ensure that Martin’s fundraising legacy lives on.

Every step Giles takes will help us continue providing vital support to families at the John Radcliffe Hospital. If you would like to support Giles’ fundraiser in memory of Martin, you can do so below, by clicking the button:

Thank you, Giles, for carrying his legacy forward - quite literally. ❤️
