Newborn Intensive Care Unit

The Newborn Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford is a Centre of Excellence in Neonatal Care.

Oxfordshire babies are looked after here and many babies are transferred from across the Thames Valley region for specialist medical care after they are born.

Dr Eleri Adams, Clinical Director, heads a team of 10 Doctors, Matron and over 140 specially trained Neonatal nurses and medical staff who are working day and night to ensure that the babies receive the highest level of care.
